Fun With A Sketchbook: A Soulful Practice for All Levels of Experience

Goal: fun with a sketchbook

If your goal is to: 

• Learn how or why to keep a sketching practice (softly)
• Understand how to begin and have less fear about the blank page (serenity)
• Generate drawings that can be the foundation for bigger, more finished pieces (sketching)

...Join local artist Tam Veilleux for a day capturing Brunswick, Maine in a simple and expressive sketchbook style that will keep you engaged with creativity for years to come - without pressure.

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

Participants will go from grounding themselves to blind contours, fun with blind contours to 3-5 line drawings with color. Discover line and simple shapes in a few fun hours in a beautiful downtown setting. Your sketchbook practice will be rejuvenated. Meet at The Mix on Park Row workshop space at 9 AM. 

Lessons will be taught outside (weather pending). Wear comfy shoes for a short exploration of town. 

Time will be allotted for lunch on your own.

TAUGHT BY ARTIST TAM VEILLEUX OF BRUNSWICK 

Tam Veilleux is a teacher, healer, and artist living and loving in Brunswick. Born with a pencil and paper in hand, she thrives on bright color, strong line, and an urge for freedom. Having spoken and taught publicly since 2012, her style is fun and fresh making for a dynamic day of laughter and art. 

Motivated by nature, good music, and better food, Tam hopes to surprise and delight you in this day-long workshop.
